Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
The inside of my top eyelid isn t smooth like it s supposed to be, it s more textured and red and it s been bothering me so much because i wear contacts and the weird skin on the inside of my eyelid holds on to the contact and moves it when i blink. I went to the doctor before i figured out it was the inside of my eyelid that was bothering me and not my actual eye. (They thought i had pink eye and prescribed me drops that didn t work). It s also very on and off. It kind of flares up during the day. At one point this wasn t bothering me for about a week but it came back now. I ve tried allergy drops, and hydrating drops. Please help.
It might be due to local inflammation. As a first line management you can apply topical antibiotics like tobramycin for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an ophthalmologist and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
